Make a difference in your community – apply to the SWAP Fund

Communities across Cheshire are being offered the chance to apply for a share of £100,000 in funding to help make their neighbourhoods safer, stronger, and more resilient.

Now in its second year, the SWAP Fund – which stands for Safety, Working Together, Action and Prevention – is led by Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner Dan Price to support local projects that address community safety issues.

Key information:

The fund supports projects around:

Anti-social behaviour
Crime prevention
Positive opportunities for young people

What makes this fund unique is where the money comes from:
Assets seized from criminals under the Proceeds of Crime Act are being reinvested directly into the communities they once harmed.

Grants of up to £5,000 are available to:

Community groups

Charities

Not-for-profit organisations

Schools (for non-curriculum projects)

No matched funding is required – instead:

Groups are encouraged to pledge volunteer time to support project delivery.

Projects should aim to:

Improve community safety

Reduce offending and reoffending

Support victims of crime

Address crime and anti-social behaviour

Create positive activities for young people

Promote crime prevention and early intervention
